SOMEBODY TURN THE LIGHTS ONsomebody tell me what's wrong ------------------------------------------------- Violet was sitting on her bunk in Escape the Fate's tour bus, her phone in her lap and a book in her hand. She had read the same page about ten times in a row -- due to the effects of picking up her phone every five seconds because of various text messages. Apparently Forever The Sickest Kids were planning a big blow out on their bus -- and so many people were texting her about it, she figured she had to go. At least make an appearance, to see if any of her friends were around. If John were there, she'd probably stay, mostly because she could stand around and talk with him without feeling like a freak. Kyle was way too hyper, and she could only stand to be around him for more than an hour when she was in the right mood. She was feeling a bit nostalgic, and missing Ronnie like crazy -- she hadn't gotten an email from him in what, two weeks? Well, if the people annoyed her, she could always grab a beer and just go back to her empty bus and book.
Violet threw on a blue jacket over her gray tank top and walked out the door, staring up at the sky. If only there weren't so many damn lights around -- then she could see the stars, her favorite things in the world. During the five minute walk, Violet turned her phone off; her hip was getting numb from the constant vibrations of new text message notifications. As she approached the FTSK bus, Violet's eye started to twitch - there were already so many people there, and she didn't even know half of them well enough to strike up a conversation. She walked over to the red cooler that was propped right outside the bus and grabbed a can of beer, taking a tiny sip before turning to look across the lawn of buses. Where was John when she needed him? They were talking in the public chat room earlier, and she wanted to prove to him that she wasn't violent. Or at least, not super violent. Alright, so she was probably a little too dependent on John. But after all, he had quickly become her best friend on tour. No more than that, much to Caleb and Kyle's dismay. Seriously, they were very pushy in the public chat room. Everyone seemed to be under the impression that they were dating, which they really were not. She was too proud to date anyone really -- wasn't giving into the whole "dating" thing like giving away your free will? That's how it was to Violet anyway. She was independent, and liked it that way, even if it did get lonely sometimes.

so tonight, tonight , baby, let's fade away. Okay, so he totally thought Kyle was only making a joke when he was telling Lily to get a party started on FTSK's bus, cause he'd been saying it a lot buy it hadn't really actually happened. Which is why this time John totally avoided and ignored the talk of the party, since it probably wasn't going to happen anyway. Random drinking plus video games equaled a party sometimes. That's usually what came out of Kyle's mouth -- something sexual or something about a party. It was a thought that came to John's mind a lot -- was he the only remotely mature person on Warped? Nahh, that was a total lie, because he did know how to have fun, he was just...well, everyone else was different from him. Either way, he got a shit ton of texts from Kyle a few minutes after he had signed offline on his laptop, telling him to get his ass down with the other boys from The Maine towards the bus that belonged to Forever the Sickest Kids -- oh, so it was really happening this time? Texting that back as a funny reply, John stood up from his seat on the couch in the lounge area of the tour bus, moving towards the back. Running his hands through his hair, John adjusted his plain black t-shirt as he looked at himself in the mirror before stretching his long limbs and cracking his knuckles prior to searching out whichever bandmates were still on the bus and weren't out doing something already.
-------------------------------------
Garrett was taking too long, Kennedy was still on the phone with his mom, and Jared was MIA again, so he and Pat ventured off across the venue lot towards where FTSK's bus was located. Sure, they were all still underage -- especially Pat -- but you'd be surprised how much some of the guys could drink. And John himself wasn't too young but he wasn't that old either -- his 21st would be coming in August, and he didn't mind waiting until then to really start to decide to drink. It was so freaking hot, and John made note that even in the cool night the humidity of California was totally killing him. So much for being from Arizona. The lights helped just a little in their florescence, not to mention that they served their purposes to guide the way. Finally arriving to their destination, John found himself being dragged away to do shots with other members of FTSK including Kyle as the ringleader. Now, John wasn't too much of a drinker after a bad experience in his senior year -- the taste of alcohol was icky anyway -- but just this once, why not try again even if he knew it wasn't going to take him long to get buzzed?
3 double shots of tequila and a beer later with not even twenty minutes gone by, the frontman was clutching the trademark green glass bottle of a Heineken that he had been given, the ice coldness of it cooling his hand and sort of the rest of his body off. Taking a sip, he maneuvered himself through the crowd of people around, making small talk with groupies and fans that recognized him, but he was bent on getting away for five minutes, to gather his sanity before he got totally wasted. It was so easy, with his body. Forget his Irish heritage, he was a total pansy at drinking. But eh, it wasn't that bad -- at least alcohol aided him in ignoring the cries of "omg you're John Ohhh!!!"
Passing the cooler that was opened and propped up next to the other boxes and stuff full of alcohol near the bus, his eyes spied a head of pale hair, paler and more platinum than Kyle's. Oh god, Violet. Not that he didn't like her or anything -- hell, he was in denial, he couldn't like her, could he? Before the party, in the chatroom, Kyle and Caleb were being silly and making comments about dating and Violet -- it got him a little annoyed, but whatever. Point is, it was one of those times again, those times of encountering and interaction. They just talked constantly via text message or online, on top of seeing each other every day despite the fact that she worked for a different band than he sang for. And for the record, the were NOT dating, nor were they remotely close to getting togeher. Jeez. Taking another long sip of beer -- ew, the stuff had gotten grosser, he sweared -- John made his way over to where she was standing, leaning against whatever was closest, still holding the beer very casually even if the look didn't really suit him.
"You look like a deer in headlights, like, you're so lost," he commented, one of his eyebrows raised as he looked at her and took another sip of beer. Chances were that he'd be her friend-buddy at the party, since most of the people in attendance weren't part of hers or Escape the Fate's scene. He moved again, now moving next to her and linking arms with her, that sloppy smirk on his face as usual but with extra effect to how he felt at that moment -- buzzed. "Kylecakes was doing shots earlier, you should get in on that even though tequila is nasty." At that moment he had just remembered he had made a joke earlier about hugs instead of punches to his arm the next time she saw him, and suddenly John laughed to himself before he prepared to approach her. Fat chance that she wouldn't smack him somehow -- and he let go of her, taking his arm back from its link with hers. "Gonna hit me again?" he teased. We'll see. SOMEBODY TURN THE LIGHTS ONsomebody tell me what's wrong ------------------------------------------------- Finally, Violet spotted John. Apparently he had been here much longer than she had, because he already looked pretty damn intoxicated -- strange, considering she didn't think she'd ever seen him with any form of alcohol -- or maybe it was just that she was so sober she thought everyone was drunk... she'd have to change that. She took another sip of her beer, which was the cheap stuff (although she had to admit it was better than nothing, or cheap vodka -- that was the worst), knowing very well that she would not be doing any gross tequila shots tonight. No matter how much John encouraged her to do so, it wasn't gonna happen. Violet didn't drink to impress people, she did it for the buzz. Besides, people seemed to like her more when she was drunk, because she got a hell of a lot nicer. Not that she was a mean person in general, just a little bit violent, as people liked to point out in the chat box. Hey, she blamed her name, and her parents for giving her said name.
"Not lost, just...bored." She answered honestly, taking another sip of her beer. She looked him in the eye, raising her eyebrow to that perfect 'wtf' face, and shook her head. "I never back down from a challenge. Kyle said I couldn't be nice to you, so I'm gonna be." Vi wrapped her other arm around John's body, bringing him into an awkward, bony hug. After all, there wasn't an ounce of meat on her body, much to her dismay. "Hugs, not punches, right?" She said with a little laugh, wondering if he thought that was as awkward as she did. Not that she hated hugs or anything, but hugging John was weird. The only physical contact she was used to giving him was the contact between her fist and his chest or arm. She had a habit of hitting people, and he seemed to get the worst of it. It kind of reminded her of those kindergarten romances, where you'd always physically harm the person you liked. Too bad this wasn't grade school, and Violet didn't like John that way. Or at least, not that she'd admit it. "Kyle is soooo going down." She muttered under her breath. She looked around once more at the fun that everyone was having, and decided to just fuck it. She lifted the can to her lips and drank, chugging her cheap alcohol like one of the boys. Minus the loud belches -- she could do without those. "Man, those boys don't know how to buy good alcohol." Violet found herself saying rather loudly, picking another can out of the cooler. She was way behind the game now -- after all, the rest of the crowd had an hour on her.

caleb hadn't been the most active of people for the past few days - only stirring occasionally when he was called to duty of a set or signing. you could definitely consider him lazy, but he'd just deny it, and coin the 'actually i haven't been feeling well,' phrase as an excuse. he did that quite often when it was this hot, sadly because the weather made the boy homesick. not that he'd admit it to anyone out of the close-knit ftsk 'clique.' texas was where he wanted to be, and he quite often complained about the imperfections of every other state until the tour brought them to dallas or houston. caleb was marking the days, and we all know that time flies when you're having fun. thus, caleb was one of the first to get involved with the parrty today. and by get involved, i mean: attempt to get wasted in the quickest time possible. unusual behavior for the red-head, yes, but it had been a while since he'd been willing to go out and about recently. and now that the unavoidable party was brought to him, he was just going to kick-start his routines back up again.
he rolled out of his bunk lazily, deciding that the thin little blue sweater over his plain white shirt and skinny jeans was 'sophisticated' enough for his 'classy' friends. the thought in itself that he had classy friends, and he was wearing a sweater just brought him to a fit of laughter. and that little giggle fit only intensified after caleb found the tray of shots, which he drowned as quickly as they were poured. an inner voice told him to take a step back, and just slow down, but caleb was slightly deaf to the conscious. he was intent on downing another round or something with the strangers, the heir of the party overwhelming him to throw his sober self out on their whim. so very tempted, until he heard a familiar duo of voices. a guilty smile cracked over his freckled face, and caleb headed down the stairs of the infamous double-decker bus to greet them.
"john oh! you brought your girlfriend afterall!" he chimed, his long legs tangling slightly as he worked to come closer. gravity had other plans, though, and the bottoms of his worn-down moccasins slipped right against the metal, and he found himself laying on his back at the feet of john and violet. not like that was embarrassing or anything. he'd just have to keep an eye out for his spill on youtube later. for now, though, he just helped himself up, and slithered around them during their little hug. "awwww," he cooed; tilting his head as he circled them excitedly, his bright hair flying in every direction. it was pretty obvious why caleb wasn't exactly himself.

her fingers on the trigger , what a pleasant surprise Okay so Lily loved parties. So when Kyle asked her to plan one she agreed. It was hard to tell if he was joking but oh well. So Lily started organizing a party on the FTSK bus. She cleaned a bit which was stupid because the place was probably going to get trashed anyway. She set up some food and drinks, Kyle said he was going to bring more drinks. Texted a few peoples who she figured were going to tell other peoples. That gave Lily time to freshen up a bit. Lily, previously in pajama pants and an old sweatshirt, quickly locked herself in the bathroom. She took a long shower and straightened her hair so it wouldn’t frizz or anything. She put on a silver tank top and tight jeans with flats. Her hair rolled down her shoulders. Lily came out after awhile and started to head down to the lower floor of the bus. People were already there and drinking. Lily smirked.
Back when Lily was in high school or ‘the dark times.’ Lily did a lot of partying. To adults and some students, Lily didn’t look like the type of girl to drink and stuff like that. She started drinking when she was a freshman and hung out with a bad crew and stuff. But out of high school Lily turned over and didn’t drink at all until she was right of age. Now twenty-two, Lily could care less if anyone saw her getting drunk. Of course Lily didn’t look twenty-two at all. She was only 5’6”, none of Lily’s family was tall, and for her age that was very short. If people teased her Lily would just say that she was fun sized. Being small had many disadvantages but also some advantages. But if people didn’t know her and she stepped into a party like this they would probably by like what the fuck is a kid doing here? Lily was probably one of the older ones there. Weird.
As she started making her way around the bus, Lily grabbed the first shot she saw. It burned as it slowly went down her throat and she placed it down somewhere random. Then she went around taking to a few other people before grabbing another two shots and downing them as well. Lily planned on having a lot of fun tonight. She hoped more people were going to arrive. Lily then took a cool beer and took a long sip. She wasn’t a real big fan of beer but she had to admit it tasted better then the shots. Lily wearing a big grin on her face walked over to Caleb, John, and Violet. Caleb seemed to be teasing them again about being a couple or dating or something, "Hey guys. What’s up?” Lily took another sip of her beer after she asked. Lily’s pale hand went through her hair and lightly brushed it off her shoulders. word count four hundred and ninety image DAMAGED GOODS of caution 2.0 lyrics there she goes again (push play) notes blahhh
